Greg Swanson, founder and CEO of ITZ, joins 10/13 in the newly created role of General Manager/Strategy and Development.
Greg will also take on the newly created role of GM of ITZ Publishing.
In his new role Swanson will oversee high-level strategic responsibilities with 10/13 Communications related to implementation of sales strategy, digital platform and on-going revenue growth.
As CEO of ITZ Publishing since 2005, Swanson has worked with media companies across the U.S. to cultivate cultural change, develop content strategies, manage product introductions, execute marketing campaigns, develop sales packages, and coach editorial and sales teams and management. A former top sales executive at print, television and online media companies including Lee Enterprises, Swanson is nationally recognized as a strategist for traditional and new media. With deep practical experience in business development and insight into the evolution of media in the digital age, he has started and sold his own media brands and been a sought-after consultant to newspapers, alternative weeklies, magazines and broadcast companies.
A partner in the research group ITZBelden, Swanson co-authors media marketing reports with Greg Harmon of Borrell Associates and has co-written reports for the American Press Association. Swanson currently co-chairs the Inland Press Association’s Digital Committee.
